HAMILTON - Drew MacIntyre made 32 saves for his first shutout of the season and the Toronto Marlies defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 2-0 in the American Hockey League on Friday. Nike Shox UK . Greg McKegg and Jerry DAmigo had goals for the Marlies (24-12-4), who have won six of their past eight games. Dustin Tokarski stopped 20 shots for the Bulldogs (19-17-4). Fridays game got off to a frantic start, with Hamiltons Christian Thomas enjoying two quality scoring chances before Torontos Brad Staubitz drove wide on Jarrod Tinordi and slipped a shot just wide of Tokarskis far post. The clearest opportunity fell to Sven Andrighetto five minutes into the first period, as he split the Toronto defence and broke in alone on MacIntyre. The winger moved to his backhand and was stopped by a sliding MacIntyre, but drew a penalty in the process. The goaltenders judgement served him well with four minutes to play in the period, as he rushed out of his crease to snuff out a developing break. Joonas Nattinen emerged from the penalty box and collected a loose puck behind Torontos defenders, but MacIntyre successfully challenged him just inside his blue-line. The Bulldogs were left to rue their missed opportunities when McKegg opened the scoring for Toronto on the power play at 18:20 of the period. McKegg took an initial shot from the blue-line and followed the ensuing scrum into the slot with Martin St. Pierre serving a tripping penalty. Wade MacLeod eventually found him with a cross-ice pass that he quickly deposited past Tokarski. The fast-paced first period gave way to a more defensive second, as the Marlies comfortably protected their lead. Toronto scored a short-handed insurance goal as DAmigo spearheaded a solo rush at 15:45 of the period. The Marlies winger was tripped as he broke through the slot, but kept enough control to slide the puck past Tokarski, who was diving to his far post. Hamilton outshot Toronto 24-18 through forty minutes, but rarely tested MacIntyre in the subdued second period. The Bulldogs nearly broke MacIntyres shutout bid eight minutes into the third period, as Mike Blunden and Gabriel Dumont whacked at a loose puck in the low slot. But the goaltender reacted well to deny the attempts through a screen and smother the puck. Hamilton was 0-for-7 on the power play, while Toronto converted on one of five power-play opportunities. Notes: Attendance at Copps Coliseum was announced as 9,983 … Brandon Kozun played his first game for the Marlies since being traded to Toronto by the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. Adidas NMD Shoes .ca provides the latest rumours, reports and speculation from around the NHL beat. Adidas Ultra Boost UK . Seven months later, Petke knows what Robles gives him: A goaltender who can win games for his team. "In a goalkeeper, you expect him to come up with one huge save a game, a game-changing save. And Robles has done that if not more than that, so Im very happy with where hes at," Petke said after Robles recorded his 10th shutout of the season, leading the New York Red Bulls to a 1-0 win over FC Dallas on Sunday. "Were very happy with where hes at. If Luis continues to play like this, then hes going to give us a great opportunity to get points." Robles, who is tied with five other goaltenders for the MLS lead in shutouts, made two saves to help New York to its fourth straight victory. The Red Bulls improved to 15-9-6 with a league-leading 51 points. They have four games remaining in the regular season. FC Dallas midfielder Erick deflected New York midfielder Jonathan Steeles crossing pass into the net in the 76th minute for the games only goal. "It was a really fast play," Dallas midfielder David Ferreira said. "Erick wanted to clear the ball and unfortunately he ends up putting it in our own net." Raul Fernandez made one save for Dallas (10-9-10), which has five games remaining and is three points out of the final Western Conference playoff spot. The shutout was the seventh of the season for Dallas. "Our last two games we have been beaten on own-goals," FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman said. "This was a game I thought where we could come away with at least a pooint. Camo Yeezy Boost 350. I think if were looking to get in the playoffs we have to get points. "Our objective when there was eight games left was to win four. We felt like we could get 12 points. Right now weve won one and lost two." Until the own goal, there were little in the way of sustained offensive pressure for either squad. New York attempted 11 shots while Dallas had eight. "It was really a game (where) both teams seemed to really dominate in midfield play," Hyndman said. "There just wasnt a lot of good scoring chances for either team." New York nearly broke through in the 16th minute when Eric Alexanders centring pass ricocheted off the far post and rolled along the goal line before Fernandez dove on the ball. Dallas best chance came in the 43rd minute when Ferreira broke into the box, but he was angled off by New York defender David Carney and was forced to shoot wide of the net. Seconds later, Red Bulls forward Thierry Henry had an opportunity from the box but his drive went wide. Henry had another opportunity to break the deadlock in the 63rd minute but his header from the box was wide of the net. Henry finished the game with three shots. "I think we broke them down in the first half," Steele said. "We just had a couple chances that never came off. We hit the post . Thierrys header and a couple of other half chances. At the end of the day you come in to do a job and you take the goal whatever way it comes." New York has won 19 of the 40 meetings between the franchises. Sundays game marked the only time in the regular season that the teams met. DURBAN, South Africa -- Players will need a third day to complete the first round at the Nelson Mandela Championship after rain again disrupted the European Tour events schedule. Maglia Giorgio Chiellini . After a seven-hour delay on Wednesday, only a little more than four hours play was possible on Thursday before the Mount Edgecombe course became unplayable again because of a heavy downpour. Englishman Daniel Brooks was still the clubhouse leader after an 8-under 62. Three Frenchmen were right behind, with Francois Camels second after a 63 while Edouard Dubois and Romain Wattel were two shots off the lead. South Africas Oliver Bekker also moved to 6 under through 14 holes before players were called off again. More than 50 players were still to complete their first rounds. "You just keep your head down and grind. Theres nothing you can do about it," Bekker said of the weather. He made the biggest move in the short time the players were out on Thursday, making his sixth birdie on No. 14 to move within two shots of Brooks on the par-70 layout. Swedens Joel Sjoholm and Zimbabwes Ryan Cairns were tied for sixth after both carded 65s in their opening rounds. Players will return to complete their first rounds at 6 a.m. local time on Friday, with the second round to be played directly after that. Maglia Salvatore Sirigu .C. - Coach Steve Kerr knew when he arrived at Golden State that Marreese Speights would figure into the mix somehow this season with the Warriors. Maglia Federico . Corey Perry scored with 2:25 remaining in the third period on Sunday night and Anaheim edged Columbus 4-3, ending the Blue Jackets three-game winning streak. An intended pass by Columbus Dalton Prout to his defensive partner caromed hard off the back boards into the slot to Perry, who wristed a shot over a sprawled Sergei Bobrovsky. "It was just one of those ones where it takes a weird hop and came right to me," Perry said, converting his sixth season of the season. "If it didnt go in I probably would have had to hear about it from the bench." The Ducks lost Koivu late in the second period on a hit that resulted in the ejection of Columbus Brandon Dubinsky. Koivu, who had just passed the puck crossing into the Columbus zone, took a blow and had to be helped from the ice. He did not return. Dubinsky said he didnt have any malicious intent and was just trying to read the play. "I think my shoulder and elbow were tucked," he said. "Its a fast game. Im not a dirty player. I think I play the game honest. I went out there to try to make a body check, not injure Koivu or make a dirty hit." Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau wanted to see the play in slow motion before getting too emotional. "Im sure it will be discussed by a lot of people," he said. "It does me no good stating thoughts and things like that. Well see what happens." Artem Anisimov scored twice, rebounding from a hard first-period check by Francois Beauchemin, and Blake Comeau scored his first of the season for Columbus, which finished a four-game homestand at 3-1. Bobrovsky, last seasons Vezina Trophy winner, stopped 28 of 32 shots. Ryan Getzlaf, Peter Holland and Emerson Etem scored for Anaheim. Anaheim is playing the fourth of an eight-game road trip. The Ducks improved to 2-2 on the trip after starting the season winning seven of their first eight games. Maglia Manolo Gabbiadini. Rookie Frederik Anderson made 18 saves to improve to 3-0 on the season. Tied at 2, the Ducks began the third period on a five-minute major power play with Dubinsky sent off. Anaheims struggling power play ranked last in the league took advantage with Etem stuffing home the rebound of a Teemu Selanne shot at 1:51 of the third for his second of the season. "We did absolutely need it because I thought that was going to be a complete game changer if we didnt score on that power play," Boudreau said. Columbus kept plugging away and Anisimov made it 3-3 with his fourth of the season at 8:24, redirecting James Wisniewskis point shot. "(Losing Dubie) definitely hurt us but other guys stepped up," Blue Jackets left wing Nick Foligno said. "They scored on the power play and we found a way to get one. It seemed like the game was headed to overtime." Comeau opened the scoring at 12:56 of the first period. Anaheim pulled even 19 seconds into the second period with Getzlaf, on a nifty behind-the-back pass from Perry, zipping a low shot from the right dot for his fifth of the season. Holland made it 2-1 at 6:59, throwing an off-angle shot from near the left end line that squeezed inside the near post past Bobrovsky. The Blue Jackets, who didnt register their first shot of the period until midway through, scored a short-handed goal for the second game in a row to get back in it. Cam Fowler bobbled the puck and Dubinsky stole it and sent Anisimov on a breakaway. He deked Anderson to make 2-2 at 12:12. "The guys stuck together and battled right to the end," Etem said. "It was a huge win." NOTES: Columbus next game is Friday at Pittsburgh to start a home-and-home series with the Penguins. ... ORCHARD PARK, N. Arthur Brown Ravens Jersey .Y. -- New England quarterback Tom Brady might want to watch his back. The Jets Mark Sanchez, too. After spending the past six seasons harassing quarterbacks for the Houston Texans, defensive end Mario Williams -- one of the NFLs top pass-rushers -- has found new motivation in a whopping contract and a new home in the AFC East with the Buffalo Bills. "Im ecstatic, very excited. I cant wait for the opportunity," Williams said Thursday after signing a six-year deal potentially worth $100 million. "Theres no pressure. Ive played against great quarterbacks. And Im looking forward to playing against these quarterbacks, chasing them down and making things happen." Williams deal, which includes $50 million in guaranteed money, is the richest ever given to an NFL defensive player. It came after two days of talks, which started when the Bills flew the former top draft pick to Buffalo on a private jet Tuesday, shortly after the NFLs free agency period opened. Terms of Williams contract were provided by the players agent, Ben Dogra. "We got a lot better," Buffalo general manager Buddy Nix said, noting that the Bills addressed their highest off-season priority by bolstering what had been an anemic pass rush. "Good things come to the people that wait. So you guys have been waiting, and weve got a good thing here." Though the contract was agreed to shortly after noon, the news conference to introduce Williams was delayed by more than two hours as the two sides worked out the final details. The wait was even longer for Nix, who noted the Bills pro scouts identified Williams as their key target since January. "The No. 1 guy for us from Day 1 was this guy," Nix said. "Obviously, you dont do anything until he hits free agency, but its been a long process. And its been fun, especially since it turned out right." After quarterback Peyton Manning, Williams has been regarded as one of the top free agents available this off-season. Williams addition immediately improves a defence that had difficulty applying pressure since Aaron Schobel was released before the 2010 season. Buffalo managed just 27 sacks in 2010, and 29 sacks last season, 10 coming in one game. Listed at 6-foot-6 and 285 pounds, Williams is a two-time Pro Bowl starter and had a franchise-best 53 sacks in six seasons with the Texans. Williams was limited to playing just five games last season as a result of a torn chest muscle. He also missed three games in 2010 after having surgery to repair a sports hernia. Williams said hes healthy, and is accustomed to the playing in the spotlight. The Texans were initially questioned for overlooking running back Reggie Bush by drafting Williams with the No. 1 pick in 2006. "The only pressure and motivation I have is to come in here and do what I need to do with my teammates and for us to succeed," Williams said. Coach Chan Gailey is looking forward to seeing Williams help a line that features two solid tackles in Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus. Kyle Williams is expected to be fully healthy after having surgery to repair a nagging foot injury. Dareus, the third player picked in last years draft, is coming off a promising rookie season in which he led the Bills with 5-1/2 sacks. "I cant put a percentage on how much better we are, but I know were appreciatively better," Gailey said. "A better pass rush makes a better secondary. A better defence makes a better offence. It all works together." Mario Williams was intrigued by Buffalo, and did his homework after getting the sense the Bills might pursue him in free agency. In the past few weeks, he spoke to players familiar with the city, and his Texans position coach, Bill Kollar, who spent two seasons with the Bills. Then he got a chance to learn more about the city over the past two days touring the region, along with his fiance, Erin Marzouki, who arrived in Buffalo on Wednesday. What Williams discovered is that Buffalo reminded him of his small-town home of Richlands, N.C. "It was just like going back," he said. "I couldnt say no, its a family atmosphere here." He immediately noted Bills fans passion for football, and how many came up with colorful ways to urge Williams to sign with Buffalo. The best example was seeing pictures of a local pizza place using pepperoni to spell out "Come Mario 90" on its pies, the 90 referring to Williams number in Houston. The avid outdoorsman, Williams also found a hunting partner in the get-acquainted process, Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly. Kelly played a role in the recruiting by inviting Williams and Marzouki over to his house in suburban Buffalo. It was during the visit that Williams happened to spot nine deer in Kellys backyard. More important, Williams believes he can make a difference on a team that got off to a 5-2 start last year before unraveling by losing eight of its last 10. "You saw from the very beginning of last year what is capable here," Williams said. "Were just adding more pieces." And Williams is a big one. Breshad Perriman Jersey . Cueto to Go? The Cincinnati Reds had a disappointing 2014 season and need to improve offensively if they hope to compete in 2015. With a strong starting rotation in hand and some top pitching prospects in the pipeline, the Reds might be in line to trade ace Johnny Cueto. According to ESPNs Mike Petriello, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox may be potential suitors for Cueto due to their need for starting pitching and their outfield depth. Cueto, who is entering the final year of his contract which pays him $10 million per season, would likely command a package north of $150 million, writes John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Fay also states that even though Cueto may be a great trade chip, the chances of dealing him are close to zero as the Reds are still looking to compete next season. Cueto posted a 20-9 record with a 2.25 earned run average and 242 strikeouts with the Reds last season. TORONTO -- Striker Jermain Defoe says he is back to 100 per cent and ready to play for Toronto FC -- and England. Ricky Wagner Ravens Jersey . "Its been really frustrating because when you get off to a good start, you just want it to continue as long as possible," said Defoe, who scored three goals in his first two games in Major League Soccer before being sidelined with a hamstring strain in late March. "But it happens. Its football, you get little niggles. Luckily enough it wasnt something that was too serious. It was just a case of resting and doing your rehab stuff. But yeah it feels fine now. I feel 100 per cent. Ive worked really hard. So maybe Ill come back stronger than I was before, which is important for the team." Saturdays game against the visiting New England Revolution (3-3-2) will mark five weeks since Defoe walked off the field favouring his hamstring in the 61st minute of a 3-0 loss to Real Salt Lake. Thanks to a bye, he only missed three games with Toronto (3-3-0) going 1-2-0 in his absence. Defoe, speaking to reporters after practice Tuesday, rubbished the suggestion that the injury layoff may affect his chances at making Englands World Cup squad. England manager Roy Hodgson plans to name his 23-man roster on May 13. "I missed three games. It happens in football, players get injured," said the 31-year-old Defoe, who has won 55 caps for England. "But if you miss three games and that changes the fact that you could, I dont know, go to a tournament, thats crazy." Manager Ryan Nelsen says he has not heard from the English camp. "Not yet," he said. Defoe, for one, does think much talk is needed. "I dont feel like I need to sell myself to anyone because Ill just let my football do the talking. Ive done that since I made my professional debut at 17 ... Im sure the manager knows what I can do." Defoe said not only is he 100 per cent physically, he feels stronger than he did before. Toronto FC officials have said privately they had to put the brakes on Defoe, who has acknowledges he is not known for his patience during injury layoffs. Defoes final days at Tottenham were marred by another hamstring injury. "Its a case of just getting it (the hamstring) strong again. Maybe I didnt do that before," he said. "I think now Ive really given it time to heal," he added. Defoe said his style of plays lends itself to hamstring issues -- "sometimes I go from a standing still position to get up to full speed." Toronto has had a spate of hamstring injuries this season with midfielders Jonathan Osorio, Alvaro Rey and Dwayne De Rosario all missing action. The club has said having to train longer than usual on artificial turf because of the harsh winter has not helped matters. Ironically it would have liked to have been able to practise under the bubble on turf Tuesday because of a downpour. But with the bubble about to come down, the lighting system had been dismantled and so they endured the rain outside. The good news is that the walking wounded are returning after the bye week. Osorio is already back in action while Nelsen says Rey, De Rosario and centre back Doneil Henry (knee) are "very close" to returning. Nelsen says the only player definitely out for this weekends game is midfielder Jeremy Hall (Achilles). Striker Bright Dike (Achilles) is also a long-term injury absence. Star U.S. midfielder Michael Bradley, who has been nursing a variety of ailments, is also doing well. Injuries have hampered Nelsen in blending his squad, which features three new designated players in Defoe, Bradley and Brazilian striker Gilberto and as many as five other new starters since last season. Two weeks ago against Colorado, he was unable to assemble a fully healthy bench. While Toronto has given up seven goals in six games, it has scored just six with Defoe accounting for three of them Toronto is getting healthy at the right time. After three games in April, Toronto has six in May including a home-and-away series with the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Amway Canadian Championship. Three of the four league games are at home so May represents a chance to harvest points. With Bradley, Brazilian goalie Julio Cesar and possibly Defoe joining their national teams at the end of May ahead of the World Cup, points may be harder to come by later. While Defoe has not yet heard from Hodgson, Cesar says he reached out to Luiz Felipe Scolari to invite him to Toronto after reading that the Brazil coach had visited players in Europe. "I was a little bit jealous," Cesar said with a smile. Jonathan Ogden Ravens Jersey .com) - Marc Gasol and the Grizzlies withstood 18 Dallas 3-pointers, as Memphis took control in the third quarter and fended off a Mavericks rally en route to a 114-105 win in a Southwest Division showdown. Kendrick Lewis Ravens Jersey . ARLINGTON, Texas -- No, this was not an instant replay, though it certainly is turning into a highlight reel Kentucky and Aaron Harrison could get used to watching over and over again. Harrison took a pass from his twin brother, Andrew, spotted up from NBA range and watched the ball rattle in for the lead with 5.7 seconds left to lift the Wildcats to a 74-73 victory Saturday night over Wisconsin in the Final Four. "You cant be scared to miss, and you want to be that guy that wants to take the big shots," Aaron Harrison said. Its the third straight game the Kentucky freshman has made a 3 for the go-ahead points in this magical ride for the Wildcats (29-10), and the second straight time the pass has come from his brother for a shot from the left centre of the arc. Traevon Jackson had a last-second shot to try to beat the Wildcats, but the desperation jumper rimmed out and once again Harrison found himself at the bottom of a dog pile at centre court. Eighth-seeded Kentucky will play seventh-seeded UConn in the final Monday -- the highest seed total to play for the title since they started putting numbers by the names back in 1979. "I know how good they are, but I dont know how they play," Kentucky coach John Calipari said of his next opponent. Wisconsin (30- set a Final Four record by going 95 per cent from the free-throw line -- 19 for 20. But it was that one miss that cost the Badgers. Jackson got Andrew Harrison to jump into him while attempting a 3-pointer with 16.4 seconds left. His first free throw rimmed out, and -- after hhe made the next two -- Wisconsin had a 73-71 lead and Kentucky had the ball. Marlon Brown Ravens Jersey. Any doubt where it was going? Against Louisville in the regional semifinal, Aaron Harrison was open in the corner when Julius Randle found him. He hit the go-ahead 3 with 39.1 seconds left on the way to a 74-69 win. Two nights later, there were 2.3 seconds on the clock and Harrison was a few steps over to the left when he took the pass from his brother. The ball clanged in and he trotted backward and pumped his hands in the air. A few minutes later, he was hugging his mom in the stands. "It never comes down to just one possession," Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan said. "It was right there for them, its just the other team had one possession better." James Young led Kentucky with 17 points and Randle finished with 16, but only five boards to snap his string of three straight double-doubles. But Kentucky had an answer for Wisconsins do-everything 7-footer, Frank Kaminsky, who was held to eight points and five rebounds. Ben Brust and Sam Dekker had 15 each for the Badgers, who came up a game short of their first appearance in the final since 1941. Instead, its Kentucky going for its ninth national title and second in three years, with an almost completely rebuilt roster from 2012. Its the way Calipari does it, like it or not. His star during this run: Aaron Harrison, who has first-round potential, though it wont be his final numbers in this game -- eight points, three rebounds -- that will impress the scouts as much as his final shot. Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

SALT LAKE CITY -- After spraining his ankle, Chris Paul might have lost some quickness. Carson Palmer Cardinals Jersey . He compensated with determination. Paul shook off the injury and the teams early sluggishness to score 18 points and extend the Los Angeles Clippers winning streak to 10 with a 96-87 victory over the Utah Jazz on Friday night. "I knew I had just had to find a way," Paul said. "We already said at halftime, its not going to be pretty every night, but stay the course and find a way to win." Before Paul got hurt, it certainly wasnt pretty and the Clippers struggled. Blake Griffin had 20 points, even though he never got into a comfortable flow. "Its never an easy game coming into a place like this," he said. "You cant relax and walk into a building and think youll just win because of who you are or what you done, or a streak youre on." Los Angeles had its lowest points total during the streak, but the Clippers won this time with defence, forcing 20 turnovers by the Jazz that led to 31 points. "Thats what we kept saying in the huddle, Lets play our defence!" Paul said. "Early in the game, it was like they were just in a rocking chair. They were swinging it and getting everything they wanted." The Jazz led 70-60 in the third quarter, but the Clippers capitalized on a rash of Utah miscues and poor shot selection to go on a 20-2 run. "We locked in. The intensity and the effort was finally there," Griffin said. In the midst of the surge, Paul landed awkwardly after scoring and sprained his left ankle. "It was the freakiest thing ever. I layed it up and no one was around me but when I landed, my left foot was on the stanchion," said Paul, who returned after quickly getting the ankle taped between the third and fourth quarters. The point guard limped up and down the court, but still quarterbacked the Clippers come-from-behind-third quarter burst. He had seven points and three assists in the six-minute run that ended with Will Greens 3-pointer with 10:37 to play that made it 80-72. Griffins inside basket extended the lead to 85-74 before the Jazz made one final surge. Hayward made a 3-pointer that closed the gap to 90-85 with 3:25 remaining, but the Jazz couldnt score again until 24 seconds remained and the game was decided. Trey Burke had 18 points -- his third straight with at least that many -- and Derrick Favours also scored 18, but the Jazz made only seven of 19 fourth-period shots and have dropped eight of nine contests. The Clippers scored an average of 115 points a game in their previous nine, but were sluggish early against Utah. The Jazz led by as many as 13 in the first half as they played with more energy than theyve shown in the past several games. One thrilling sequence exemplified Utahs determination near the end of the half. Jeremy Evans and Gordon Hayward blocked back-to-back fast-break layups by the Clippers and brought the crowd to its feet. "Our biggest area of growth will be maintaining that type of intensity throughout the game and playing that way for 48 minutes," Burke said. The Clippers missed the shooting and playmaking of Jamal Crawford (calf), but turned to their stars, Paul and Griffin, to bring them back and claim their ninth straight against the Jazz. "Chris started being more aggressive," Los Angeles coach Doc Rivers said. "I think sometimes he wants to be the point guard, but tonight we needed his scoring." Griffin ranks fourth in the league with more than 28 points per game since Feb. 3 and has now scored at least 20 points in 25 consecutive games, the second-longest current streak in the NBA. But it was defence that turned the tide. "It was definitely a defensive thing," Griffin said. Matt Barnes contributed 15 points and Darren Collison had 14 as the Clippers set a season-high for fast-break points with 31. "Were tough to guard in transition. Blake makes some great decisions," Paul said. Starting in place of injured Marvin Williams (back), Enes Kanter had 11 points and 15 rebounds, but shot just 5 for 17 for the Jazz. "In the second half, they were just aggressive and we couldnt match them," Kanter said. NOTES: In honour of the upcoming St. Patricks Day holiday, the Jazz wore their road green uniforms. The Clippers played in their regular red away attire. ... Collisons layup at the first-half buzzer was disallowed after video review. ... The Jazz fell to 0-12 when Williams is out with injury, while the Clippers are 6-0 without Crawford. ... Paul had seven assists to move into 30th place all-time, passing Mookie Blaylock. Jermaine Gresham Jersey . Friday, the team made sure one of their top defensive players didnt join that market. The Jaguars signed defensive tackle SenDerrick Marks to a 4-year contract extension worth a reported $22 million. Marks had signed a one-year deal with the team last spring after spending his four seasons with the Tennessee Titans. He would have become a free agent Monday had he not signed an extension Friday. Jacksonville general manager Dave Caldwell said Marks and the Jaguars were a good fit and that there were reasons to get the deal done before the end of the season. "The player wanted to be here; two, we wanted him here; and three, we were able to do it before the season ended and put some of the money into this years salary cap," Caldwell said. Marks has been one of the few bright spots for a defence that has strugggled this year. Kurt Warner Jersey. He has started all 15 games and has 28 tackles, seven pass breakups and four sacks. He has played in 84 per cent of the teams defensive plays this season. Marks said he was surprised that the deal was finalized before the end of the season. "Its very cool. I didnt expect it," he said. "I thought it was going to go all the way until the off-season, but I was never worried about what would happen. "My job is to go out and continue to play. We still have a game left, so I didnt even think about it." Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said the signing of Marks was an indication of the direction the team is going. "Its all about the direction we want to go to get key people like SenDerrick," Bradley said. "Hes done a great job; great job competing, great job leading with our younger guys in the meeting room every day. CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer will miss Tuesday nights game against the Atlanta Hawks with a left calf strain. Ramon Humber Jersey . Boozer was hurt before the Bulls game Thursday night at Golden State and also sat out Chicagos game Sunday in Los Angeles against the Lakers. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said Boozer is still day to day with the injury. Boozer is averaging 14.8 points and 8.6 rebounds this season. He has played in 45 games. Forward Taj Gibson is expected to make his eighth start of the season. Mostly coming off the bench, Gibson is averaging 12.6 points and 6.5 rebounds. Kevin Faulk Patriots Jersey . In one of several tweets he sent Tuesday night, Incognito thanked his family and friends for their support. So when the Colts quarterback finally got a chance to make some plays, he rallied Indianapolis in the fourth quarter for yet another victory. The European transfer deadline day provided the usual amount of frantic business akin to those who leave shopping for gifts until Christmas Eve - but in the soccer world, there are no late bargains to be had, and the chance is high of being left disappointed when things dont work out at the last minute. The actual winners on transfer deadline day are those clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City who were well prepared and managed to get their main incoming business done well ahead of the transfer window closing. Tottenham were able to add seven players by spending over 100 million pounds and also ensured maximum return for the Gareth Bale transfer to Real Madrid by managing the move superbly. Manchester City had most of their new faces with the squad by the time preseason began – the perfect way to prepare for a new campaign. Other clubs waited. Of the teams that were active on Deadline Day, some were more successful than others. In total, 142 million pounds was spent by clubs in England on Deadline Day alone, with the total spending for the whole transfer window in the Premier League totaling a record 630 million pounds. The Winner: Arsenal fans spent much of the summer worrying that their club would fail to add any significant signings. After Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis talked publicly of their their increased financial firepower earlier this summer along with their intent to spend, the lack of arrivals at the Emirates ensured there was plenty of pressure on Manager Arsene Wenger. However, things changed big-time on Deadline Day. Arsenals capture of Mezut Ozil was spectacular. The Gunners finally splashed the cash by paying over 42 million pounds to acquire one of the worlds top midfielders from Real Madrid. With Ozil just 24 years old, having signed a five year deal, Arsenal ensured they will be able to benefit long-term from having a player who has already achieved big things at both club and international level. He was named in UEFAs Team of the Tournament at EURO 2012 and has 47 caps for Germany. While midfield was not exactly Arsenals biggest area of need, you dont pass up on the chance to sign Ozil. Theres no doubt he will make Arsenal a much better team, but his arrival is also a signal of the Gunners intent not to get left any further behind the big three in England. The Gunners bolstered their goalkeeping with the addition of Emiliano Viviano on loan from Palermo, although they werent able to add a new striker which is an area in which they are still lacking, despite the great early season form of French forward Olivier Giroud. Even though they couldnt add a forward, the signing of Ozil was without doubt the best move of Deadline Day. A Close Second: Everton left it late, but they managed to end Deadlline Day in a much stronger position than they started it, despite the departure of Marouane Fellani. Drew Bledsoe Jersey. . The Toffees signed Wigan Athletic midfielder James McCarthy for 13 million pounds and also brought in Gareth Barry from Manchester City and Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season. Everton beat West Brom to the signing of the 20-year-old Belgian striker Lukaku who has already proven his ability to score goals at Premier League level, scoring 17 times last season on loan with the Baggies from Chelsea. They also add both youth and experience to their midfield with the arrival of Republic of Ireland midfielder McCarthy and England international Barry. Overall, it was an excellent day for Roberto Martinez. Could Do Better: David Moyes first transfer window as Sir Alex Fergusons successor at Manchester United was far from a glowing success. In truth, as the defending champions, United still has a squad that is strong enough to contend again this year, but there are areas they wanted to strengthen. Deadline day at Old Trafford was more about who United failed to sign rather than the business they actually did. Uniteds bid to bring in left back Fabio Coentrao fell through after previous attempts to sign Evertons Leighton Baines had also failed. The signing of Athletic Bilbaos Ander Herrera hit a last minute roadblock ensuring that a summer which started with talk of an Old Trafford move for Barcelonas Cesc Fabregas and a whole host of other targets ended with a dash to add Fellaini from Everton for 27.5 million pounds. Thats not too far below the original bid United made for both Fellaini and Baines that was described as "derisory" a few weeks earlier. Fellaini is a decent addition for Moyes men but they overpaid for the midfielder, and could have saved a few million pounds had they made their move earlier in the summer. The clubs inability to strengthen in other areas will have been a big boost to Uniteds title rivals. It also ensures the spotlight will be firmly focused on Uniteds new management regime moving forward after their inability to get more significant deals across the line. So now the window is closed until January and teams will have to make do with what they have. There seems to be a growing opinion within the game that the window should be shortened to avoid such drawn out transfers as the Bale deal, or even that the window should close before the season begins so that clubs are not left in limbo beginning the new campaign with players who want a move away. For me, the length of the window isnt the issue - the problem is the clubs who decide to leave everything until the last minute. If thats the way they choose to do their business then they have to suffer the consequences. Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Mexico, Croatia battle for place in knockout round (Live on TSN Radio 1050, TSN Radio 690, TEAM Radio 1410 at 4pm et/1pm pt) Mexico has reached the knockout round in each of the past five World Cups, and El Tri can extend that streak to six with a win or draw against Croatia at the Arena Pernambuco today in the final day of Group A play. Eddie Royal Jersey . Both teams beat Cameroon, but Mexicos 0-0 draw against Brazil is the difference between the sides, as Croatia fell 3-1 to the hosts in the opening match of the tournament. Much of the credit for Mexico getting a point against Brazil goes to goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who produced a number of fine stops to keep his team in the match. "Sometimes its our turn to catch the eye and other times its someone elses," Ochoa said following the game with Brazil. "Of course Id like to have less to do, but in my position youve got to be constantly alert, whether youre needed just once or loads of times. And thats what Ill keep training for." Ochoa made a pair of big saves to deny Neymar, while he reacted well in the final minutes to keep out a point-blank header from Thiago Silva. "He saved us today," Mexican winger Andres Guardado said of Ochoa. "Sometimes we had the feeling that, however many times they went for goal, he wasnt going to let anything get past him." Ochoa will hope to be a bit less active on Monday, although Croatia enters the match full of confidence having handed Cameroon a 4-0 defeat last time out. After missing top forward Mario Mandzukic against Brazil because of suspension, the Bayern Munich forward returned to the fold against the African side and netted a pair of goals in the second half. Croatia was unlucky to lose 3-1 to Brazil in the opener as a questionable penalty decision handed the home side a 2-1 lead in the second half before Oscar scored a goal in stoppage time to cap the win. Unlike Mexico, Croatia must win Mondays game in order to advance to the round of 16 for the first time since 1998, and head coach Niko Kovac is expecting a great atmosphere. "The match against Mexico will be like a final," Kovac told Croatian television station HTV. "We have to get some rest, because a serious opponent awaits. Mexico are strong, but so are we. The Mexico players are very patriotic, just like us, and they have a great team spirit. They play some aggressive football with a lot of pressing. They are strong going forward, but also have some weaknesses in defense, like Brazil showed us." Ego Ferguson Jersey . The Canadian skier also learned how to surf last spring and took on the waves along the Kananaskis River. Mountain biking is not her forte but she was determined to give that a try too. She calls it "fear training." The slalom specialist is hoping that pushing herself outside her comfort zone during the off-season will help make her more mentally prepared on the slopes. "Our sport has to do with a lot of fear," she said Tuesday at a ski team availability. "Theres fear standing at the start. Fear of not doing enough, fear of the speed. I mean, its fast." Mielzynski, 23, competed at the 2010 Vancouver Games and has two World Cup podium appearances on her resume. In March 2012, she became the first Canadian since Betsy Clifford in 1971 to win a World Cup womens slalom race. She added a World Cup silver last season and has a shot to make a podium appearance at next years Sochi Olympics. Mielzynski hopes that fear training will help her stay calm and focused when the pressure is heightened during competition. "Its just about pushing your limits," she said. "Do one thing a day that scares you and if not, then maybe do two the next day. I think thats really important because it keeps you guessing, keeps you pushing and keeps the love of the sport alive." Mielzzynski, who trains for five hours each day, felt invigorated after trying new things in the off-season. Jonathan Bullard Jersey. "When Im going down fast and Im avoiding rocks and things, I have to be so aware of what Im doing," she said. "Even though the fear is there and the heart rate is high, I still have to be aware. And thats the same with skiing. "The gates are coming at me so fast and I have to be aware." Mielzynski, from Guelph, Ont., competed in the season-opening giant slalom event last week in Austria but didnt advance to the second run. It was not her specialty event and she had a late start, but she still found it to be a valuable experience. She was also pleased that her mindset improved before the race and during the competition. "It seemed like training and thats what Ive been striving for for the last two years in a race," she said. "Although my results didnt show what I wanted them to, it was nice to stand in the start and (now I) feel confident going into the next races." Shes learning to feel afraid and to make sure its a positive thing. "Theres always an element of fear," she said. "It should be there. If youre totally comfortable, its not right. But you can learn ways to get around it. "Sometimes its not thinking so much, its just getting in the start, pushing out of it and dealing with whatever you have to deal with." Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

NEW YORK, N. cheap nfl stitched jerseys .Y. - NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and chief assistant Troy Vincent were told by 11 former players Tuesday that the league must act immediately when someone is accused of domestic violence. At a 3 1/2-hour meeting to discuss ways to improve the leagues personal conduct policy, the former players also said teams must be held accountable when players misbehave. One question asked around the room was, when an arrest occurs, do you take them off the field or let them play and let the due process take care of itself? said Vincent, the NFLs vice-president of football operations. To a man, they said, Take them off the field, pay them, and let due process take care of itself. At the meeting were Hall of Famer Mike Singletary, plus Matt Birk, Eddie Mason, Patrick Kerney, Willie McGinest, Roman Oben, Marty Lyons, Charles Way, Tony Paige, Scott Turner and Robert Porcher. More weekly meetings are planned among league officials and former players, current players and team owners.I felt like the clock was on after last Friday and the clock was on that we cant talk to enough people, Vincent said of a news conference at which Goodell announced the league will re-examine how and when it should discipline players for violating the policy. You begin this discussion with people it means the most to: the players and the owners, Vincent added. Lets begin by bringing in some of our thought leaders. The NFL has faced heavy criticism of its personal conduct policy after incidents this year involving Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, Greg Hardy, Ray McDonald and Jonathan Dwyer. Goodell repeatedly has said he mishandled the punishment of Rice for punching his then-fiancee in a hotel elevator.Vincent said the meeting became emotional at times as the players stressed the importance of making sure everyone is accountable.Singletary, the great former Bears linebacker, pointed out the need to find who is most influential person in this persons life and then get the message across that if the player cant accept societal and league rules, the lines are long behind them, and the people on those lines are ready to step up and assume the responsibility.Vincent said he felt the league got a bit closer to finding solutions to swifter and more emphatic punishments for players who violate the personal conduct policy. You cant negotiate the game, Vincent said, his voice cracking. The one thing we all got to fight for ... we are talking about the game and we all got to be all-in. We all have got to answer the questions of where are we today, how did we get here, why is this happening, how do we stop this and manage this?We dont have time to wait on anybody to give us direction. There is one thing we dont negotiate, its the game.___AP NFL website: and cheap nfl jerseys . But it isnt. DUNEDIN, Fla. Womens Carson Palmer Jersey . -- Given a day to prepare, prized Houston infield prospect Carlos Correa delivered in a big way. Told that he would start, the 19-year-old Correa hit his first two home runs of spring training and led the Astros over the Toronto Blue Jays 7-5 Thursday. Manager Bo Porter told Correa, the overall No. 1 pick in the 2012 draft, on Wednesday night that he would be in the lineup. "A lot of time with young players, youll go up to them and tell them that, because you kind of want to see how theyre going to respond," Porter said. "And he responded the way you would want your player to respond." "The way he performed today was pretty impressive," he said. Correa and Jon Singleton connected off Blue Jays starter Esmil Rogers for back-to-back homers in the third inning. Correa connected again in the eighth, hitting a two-run drive to centre field off Neil Wagner. "I was just focused," Correa said. "He told me I was going to start today." "I came out here with the mentality to play hard, play the game the right way and do my best all the time on the field," the shortstop said. Porter said while Correa still has room for improvement, his work ethic has been outstanding. "Hes a focused individual," Porter said. "Hes one of the first ones to the ballpark, hes the last one to leave. His attention to detail is mature for his age, but thats why he plays the game at the speed he plays it -- because hes confident." Astros starter Dallas Keuchel yielded six hits and struck out two in four scoreless innings. The left-hander, who was 6-10 with a 5.15 ERA last season, has not allowed a run in three starts this spring. Anthony Gose finished 2 for 2 with a triple and double, and scored three runs for Toronto. Edwin Encarnacion, Adam Lind, Melky Cabrera and Dan Johnson also doubled for the Blue Jays. STARTING TIME Blue Jays: Rogers, a candidate for the fifth spot in Torontos rotation, allowed four earned runs, walked two and struck out six in three innings. Rogers struggled with command of his changeup, which led to Singletons home run. "The only way I can get better is when I pitch and throw the changeup," he said. "I just have to make my pitches and work a little bit more out of the stretch and try to get my command out of the stretch because Im a little quick when I have runners on base." Astros: Keuchel said throwing against high wind gusts was tough, but he was happy to keep solid command on all of his pitches. "Always got to be a little happy with throwing up some zeros, but that wind was kind of a challenge there in the first inning," he said. "You know, Im warming up in the bullpen and always getting loose and you never know how the wind is going to respond. But I think I had a little bit more movement on my two-seam and my changeup, so that was kind of nice," he said. TRAINERS ROOM Blue Jays: Manager John Gibbons said left-handed starter J.A. Happ (sore back) is scheduled to throw three innings in a minor league game on Friday in Dunedin. Astros: Top pitching prospect Mark Appel could make his first appearance of the spring next week. Appel, the first overall selection by Houston in last years amateur draft, underwent an appendectomy in January. Porter said reliever Jesse Crain (right biceps surgery) is continuing to make progress in the organizations training program and his arm strength is increasing. The right-hander had an 0.74 ERA in 36 2-3 innings with the Chicago White Sox last season. He was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays in July, but did not pitch because of the injury. RIGHT ON Porter said L.J. Hoes is still in the mix for the starting spot in right field despite a hip injury early in camp. George Springer, Marc Krauss and J.D. Martinez also are in contention. Porter said Hoes, acquired from the Baltimore Orioles at the trade deadline last season for right-handed starter Bud Norris, played well enough down the stretch to get a look this spring. "Hes got about two weeks to get ready for opening day," Porter said. "L.J. is a guy thats always gotten on base (and) has great minor league numbers. He came here last year and was a great asset to our ballclub the second half of the season and we believe hes going to be able to help us a lot this year." Hoes started in left field against the Blue Jays. He began a relay in the first that nabbed Jose Bautista at the plate when the slugger attempted to score from first base on a double by Edwin Encarnacion. MELKMAN IN THE MIDDLE? Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera could see time in centre field during the regular season now that he has fully recovered from complications stemming from a benign tumour, which was removed from his lower back last September. Gibbons said he will probably only use Cabrera there against a tough left-hander, or if Colby Rasmus needs a day off. "Thats where he played today and he played there in Lakeland the other day and did a nice job," Gibbons said. "He only got a couple balls, but hes done it before. When he came up with the Yankees, he played centre field and he played it in Kansas City and played it very well." Cheap Robert Nkemdiche Jersey . The medal intake in Sochi is forecasted to happen at a more measured pace. Starting with Saturdays mens snowboard slopestyle and womens moguls, Canada has at least one legitimate medal shot, if not more, virtually every day until the closing ceremonies Feb. 23. Chef de mission Steve Podborski and his assistants Jean-Luc Brassard and France St. Louis intend to be present at events where a Canadian is a front-runner for a medal. "I would say were booked every day," Podborski said at a Canadian Olympic Committee news conference Thursday. The host country won 18 of its 26 medals in Vancouver during the back half of the Games. Ten of the 14 gold medals came in the second half, including four on the final weekend. Sports making their Olympic debut helped balance the schedule of Canadas medal prospects in Sochi. Mens and womens snowboard slopestyle, the figure skating team event and the luge relay are among the new events over the first eight days of competition in which Canada has solid medal prospects. Thats in addition to Canadas strength in the entrenched sports of alpine skiing, moguls, short-track speedskating and cross-country skiing. "Sure there are new sports and we happen to be very, very good in the new ones because we are a great sporting nation," Podborski said. "With the support were getting now from corporate Canada, Own The Podium and the Government of Canada, we have an opportunity to be good in the traditional sports as well and thats where well make our great gains in the areas where are athletes are getting better . . . cross-country, alpine skiing." Canadas athletes have been waging fierce foosball tournaments in their village lounge while they await Fridays opening ceremonies, according to Podborski. But Olympic competition started early for some Canadians with Thursdays preliminary rounds. Canada sat in second place, two points behind host Russia, after the first day of the new team figure skating event. Torontos Patrick Chan was third in the mens short program, then Meagan Duhamel of Lively, Ont., and Eric Radford of Balmertown, Ont., were second in the pairs short to give Canada 17 of a possible 20 points after the first two events. Sebastien Toutant of LAssomption, Que., and Max Parrot of Bromont, Que., advanced to the mens snowboard slopestyle final Saturday, while Charles Reid of Mont-Tremblant, Que., and Reginas Mark McMorris will attempt to join them via the semifinal earlier in the day. The Dufour-Lapointe sisters from Montreal -- Justine, Chloe and Maxime -- all qualified for Saturdays womens moguls finals as did Audrey Robichaud of Quebec City. Reigning world champion Spencer OBrien of Courtney, B.C., qualified for the womens slopestyle final Sunday. Hockey Canada also made the decision to replace injured forward Steven Stamkos with Tampa Bay teammate Martin St. Louis. No competition is scheduled Friday because of the opening ceremonies. In addition to slopestyle and womens moguls on opening weekend, skiers Erik Guay of Mont-Tremblant, Que., Calgarys Jan Hudec and Manny Osborne-Paradis of Invermere, B.C., are medal prospects in Sundays downhill. Canadas figure skaters are favoured to win a medal in the team event, which ends Sunday. Canadas objective in 2010 was to top the overall medal count and the target remains the same in Sochi. The host team was third in total medals, but won the gold-medal race four years ago. Because of the new sports, there are 36 more medals to be won in 2014 than in 2010. That will help fill Canadas coffers, but also those of top rivals Germany, Norway, the United States and host Russia. "Canada is here to compete and win," COC president Marcel Aubut said. "Our aim is to contend for the number one spot in medals won. Kurt Warner Cardinals Jersey. ." "This is an ambitious goal, but we Canadians like it this way. Our athletes expect nothing less of themselves but the highest achievements." Added Podborski: "You dont try to come "somewhere up there." We expect great things in Canada now. Its an ideal approach. "We may not win the medal count this time. We may not win it the next time but one day we will because we are striving to be number one in the world in the medal count." While Canadas preparation for 2010 seems a successful model to copy for Sochi, the Canadian Olympic Committee took a different approach. The 2008 Summer Games in Beijing posed similar challenges to Sochi in terms of distance to travel, time-zone difference and unfamiliar language, food and culture. Virtually all of Canadas Olympians competed, trained or at least visited Beijing in the year prior to those Games to get comfortable with the place. The same practice was done for Sochi. There was less emphasis on pre-Games visits for the 2012 Summer Games in London. "If we look at the Beijing experience and we look at the Sochi experience, its actually very similar," COC chief sport officer Caroline Assalian says. "New and unfamiliar environment for most countries. "We ensured that the athletes and support teams as much as possible are familiar with this environment." The COC has conducted exit interviews with athletes, their coaches and support teams following Olympic Games since 2006 to better plan for the next. The athletes were asked "what made the difference in your performance?" "Their number one factor? Feeling part of a larger unified team, more than anything," Assalian said. "Thats what made the difference for them. Coaches and support team? Familiarity with the Olympic environment." And where Beijing was also a benchmark for Sochi was in Canadas conversion rate, which the number of athletes ranked in the top five at their most recent world championships make it onto the podium at the subsequent Olympic Games. The COC employs conversion rates to compare how Canadas athletes are performing compared to other countries. Even though Canada won just 18 medals in Beijing, the conversion rate there was 67 per cent compared to 59 per cent at the Winter Games of both 2010 and 2006, according to Assalian. The Canadian team needs at least match Beijings conversion rate to be in the hunt for the overall title in Sochi. "Our bar now is Beijing," Assalian says. "We know we need to convert better than we ever have at any Winter Olympic Games." The Canadian team will attempt this without the advantage it had in Vancouver and Whistler of home ice and home snow. Own The Podium chief executive officer Anne Merklinger says many winter sport teams have stronger leadership and better coaches since 2010. Both areas were priorities coming out of Vancouver and Whistler and she hopes improvements there compensate for the additional challenges of Sochi. "Weve come a long way in that regard," she says. "Without coaches, were behind the 8-ball. Its the most important success factor. "I think there are a number of examples where weve brought in great coaches, but weve lost some too. We need to find a way to continue to retain the good ones we have and attract new ones." "Were investing in that. Thats what it takes. Its a competitive industry." OTP oversees athletes competitive lives between Olympic Games and allocates about $62 million a year in federal government funding between summer and winter sports. The COC prepares athletes for the Games environment and looks after their needs and wants on the ground in Sochi. Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
